12 Jun 2014

Winner of Eco Fleet Award and Highly Commended in two other categories

Tristar Worldwide, one of the world’s leading chauffeur drive companies, has won the Eco Fleet Award at this year’s BRAKE Fleet Safety Awards, as well as being highly commended for both the Company Driver Safety Award and Road Risk Manager of the Year.

The Eco Fleet Award recognises the organisation that has done the most to improve safety and the environment by introducing green initiatives, such as innovative travel plans, scheduling, greener fuel and vehicles, and fuel efficient driving.

Also shining a spotlight on Tristar’s continuous high level of safety operations, the company was highly commended in both the Company Driver Safety Award and Road Risk Manager of the Year Awards, as well as being shortlisted in the Safety Vehicles and Fleet Safety Analysis and Action categories.

The BRAKE Fleet Safety Awards, which took place on Thursday 5th June, recognise the achievements of those working to help reduce the number of road crashes involving at-work drivers.

The BRAKE awards come hot on the heels of the announcement of further success for Tristar in the annual Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Awards, which will be presented on 17th June. Tristar will receive the prestigious MORR Technology Trophy for the way it has used technology to reduce occupational road risk throughout its services.

RoSPA judges will also recognise Tristar’s ongoing commitment to health and safety by presenting the team with the Gold Award for Management of Road Risk (MORR) and the Silver Award for Occupational Health and Safety.

Tristar Worldwide’s Group CEO, Dean De Beer commenting on the award wins said: “At Tristar we always place health at safety at the forefront of our operation and we are delighted that this has been recognised with these prestigious awards. I’d also like to congratulate the team, in particular our Fleet Manager Janusz Kozlowski for their hard work in this area ”.
